So much to say about this place, where do I begin?……

The Voyager RV Resort is a 55+ retirement community that is also a part of the Encore Trails system associated with Thousand Trails. (For those of you who don’t know Thousand Trails, TT for short, is like a timeshare membership for RV’ers).

Arizona has a ton of age restricted retirement communities, but this particular one allows kids for a maximum of 14 days during the winter season, and once the winter season is over they are allowed an additional 14 days.

This place was like a mini city! There are over 1500 sites. Some are rv sites and some are park models. They have so many activities and groups to be a part of……

Groups include: Hiking, walking, biking, sewing, bridge club, choir, and more.

Classes include: painting, glass fusion, jewelry making, wood working, line dancing, square dancing, yoga, pool fitness and exercise classes, and more.

Activities include: pool, sauna, spa, billiards, shuffleboard, pickleball, volleyball, bocce ball, weekly shows like singing quartets and Barry Manilow tributes, bingo, 9 hole golf coarse, and church just to name a few.

Facilities include: Bar and grill (karaoke once a week), convenience store, small med clinic, barber shop, mail room, laundry, bathrooms and showers, fitness room, dog runs, and pet grooming.

The lot sizes are decent size at 60 x 30ft for their back in spots, which was what we had. It was a little bit of a tight squeeze getting our big beast in, and it was our first time backing in.

The Voyager staff was amazing and guided us in within a matter of minutes! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only complaint that we had was from my kids who didn’t like that they had special rules like no using the billiards tables, and certain hours they could use the pool.

Plus everyone was “old!”. After being in the park for a few days Don and I decided we kinda dig the retirement community lifestyle. I am sure we will be back!
